About Us.

At our Pt. Chevalier based dental practice, we prioritise patient care and recognize that each individual has different requirements. With our commitment to excellence as well as access to the most up-to-date technologies, we are devoted to providing personalised and comprehensive dental treatment.

  • Tony is a Dunedin boy and Otago graduate. After working in hospital’s and a period as a teaching fellow back at Otago Tony built a large successful practice on Ponsonby Road. This practice was eventually acquired by the corporate dental group Lumino becoming one of their largest most successful practices. After practicing in his large bustling Ponsonby clinic for over 10 years Dr Dey is now excited to work in a more boutique setting where he can concentrate on delivering the care he has become renowned for.

  • Frazier gained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2011. He is a certified ‘Senior Master Provider’ with the Fastbraces orthodontic system (braces and straight teeth in months not years); as well as providing Invisalign treatment (‘Invisible’ braces) for his patients. He can also replace your missing teeth with implants, bridges or plates if required.

  • Ron has joined the team after a 35 year stint at his own practice Hendriks Dental in Te Atatu.

    He is a general dental practitioner with a special interest in dental implants and sleep dentistry. Ron also enjoys golf, skiing and fishing.

  • Alex obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sheffield. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed postgraduate training at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, honing his skills and expanding his expertise in advanced dental techniques.

    Passionate about enhancing smiles, he excels in cosmetic dentistry procedures, transforming smiles with procedures like veneers, teeth whitening, and dental bonding. As a certified provider of Invisalign, he specializes in offering patients discreet orthodontic treatment.

    Additionally, Alex is trained in administering IV sedation to ensure a comfortable experience for anxious patients.

    In his free time, Alex enjoys playing the guitar and piano, finding relaxation and creative expression through music alongside his dedication to dentistry.

  • Dr. Alex Wu is an experienced dentist with over six years of clinical practice. He graduated from the University of Otago with dual degrees in Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences.

    Fluent in both English and Chinese/Mandarin, Alex is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals from all backgrounds. He has a strong interest in oral surgery, with particular expertise in procedures such as impacted wisdom tooth extractions and dental implants. Dedicated to professional growth, Alex actively keeps up to date with the latest innovations and techniques in dentistry to ensure the best outcomes for his patients.

    When Alex is away from work, he enjoys spending time in Queenstown and exploring the beautiful walking trails there, discovering new dining venues and participating in motorsports with his long standing passion automotives.

  • Dr. Vikram Bhatt graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Dr. D.Y. Patil University, Mumbai, in 2009. After running two private clinics in Mumbai for a decade, he moved to New Zealand in 2019, having completed the Australian Dental Council exams in 2018. He has since worked at Lumino Tamatea in Napier and Dental Care West in Auckland.

    Dr. Vikram has completed advanced training in Implantology at the ACE Institute and has a special interest in Root canal treatment,  implant and prosthetic dentistry, cosmetic treatment and aligner therapy. He is passionate about delivering personalised, high-quality care that restores function, enhances aesthetics, and boosts patient confidence.

    Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, travelling, visiting beaches, watching cricket, and exploring his love for cars.

  • Jigisha, an Oral Health Therapist, graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health. Providing dental hygiene care with a warm and empathetic approach, she strives to create a positive experience for every patient, earning praise for her gentle touch and compassionate care.

  • I graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2021. My goal is to provide gentle,  patient-centred care and the best oral health care possible. After graduating, I worked in Kapiti Coast and moved back to Auckland. I focus on making patients aware about their oral health and finding ways to promote and maintain good oral hygiene practice to prevent periodontal disease. My interests are treating periodontal disease and perfecting my therapy skills. My top priority is to help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. I am also a member of New Zealand Oral Health Association. 

    Outside of practice, I like to travel and spend time with my family. My hobbies include swimming and going for long walks.
